About Us
Simply for Strings is an online and in-store Australian go-to destination for high-quality handcrafted string instruments and accessories.
Simply for Strings is Australia’s award-winning string instrument store. The company was founded in 2005 by good friends, Anna and Toby and began as a mobile business. The passionate pair would drive from town to town across Queensland to sell product and help educate students, parents and teachers, in their homes and schools. The service provided during these visits set the foundation of the Simply for Strings customer service philosophy - education and support - to which we still pride ourselves on to this day. Our growing team of string instrument gurus, alongside Founder Anna Andriolo, now serve customers Australia-wide from our award-winning Red Hill store.

As the mobile business became increasingly busy, it was clear to the founders a larger, dedicated space was needed to continue to grow the business and best serve the growing customer base. From humble beginnings, we now serve customers Australia-wide from our store in Red Hill.
Simply for Strings opened its doors to the public on November 19, 2007. The Old Church has become an inspiring venue for all musicians, an integral part of the customer experience and is now recognised, Australia-wide, as a musical hub for all things string.
The entire Simply for Strings team is dedicated to excellent customer service and are here for every step of your musical journey. Our team consists of professional musicians, passionate educators and specialist staff who are knowledgeable about everything string.

VISIT OUR UNIQUE STORE IN RED HILL
Entrance is via white-trimmed arched doors and in the front room violins cover the entire left wall. A quick glimpse to the back of the room makes visitors hurry through the hallway to see what awaits them. A grand room with high ceilings is filled with cellos, violas, double basses and violins, and a piano waits patiently and authoritatively in the corner.
Luscious deep-brown leather couches make this space seem unhurried and welcoming and are complemented by plush pillows - making you want to spend the rest of the day curled up listening to Mozart and Beethoven or try one of the many instruments for sale. In a corner, a library of musical scores begs to be played with passion and sincerity. The sheet music can be viewed and studied on a large wooden table, hand-made from Tasmanian Blackwood tree that the owners salvaged after it was stuck by lightning in Northern NSW.
The stage area looks out through wide open-glass windows as high as the ceilings, over Brisbane's treasured inner suburbs, allowing for an expanse of natural light to illuminate the interior and bounce off the crisp white walls.
